Senior Research Scientist, TTI Success Insights

Dr. Gehrig is a senior research scientist with research and development at TTI Success Insights. Dr. Gehrig’s current research focus is on enhancing the reliability and validity of TTI Success Insights’ portfolio of assessments by developing and applying advanced mathematical, statistical, and psychometric tools. Dr. Gehrig holds a PhD. in pure mathematics from Arizona State University. The focus of his dissertation was algebraic combinatorics and Hopf algebras and their application in control theory problems. He is the author of several publications in journals such as the proceedings to the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control. He has also been an invited speaker to several domestic and international conferences on Mathematics.

Prior to joining TTI Success Insights, Dr. Gehrig spent the previous 10 years working in operational, credit, and model risk management in the banking and finance sectors. His work included mathematical and statistical modeling and model validation projects with mid-size U.S. banks. He also helped similar institutions through Federal Reserve and OCC audits as well as the CCAR stress testing processes.

Dr. Gehrig is also an eight-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope (Somalia, 1993).
